제시 파월은 블룸버그에 "향후 10년 안에 BTC에 100만 달러의 가격표가 붙는 것은 상당히 합리적"이라고 말했다.

제시 파월(Jesse Powell)은 미국의 암호화폐 거래소인 크라켄(Kraken)의 창업자 겸 대표이사(CEO)이다. 

마운트곡스에서 근무하다가 해킹 사건으로 회사를 떠난 후 미국에서 크라켄이라는 암호화폐 거래소를 창업했다.

제시 파월은 미국 캘리포니아 주립대학교에서 철학(윤리, 법) 학사를 졸업하고 Verge gallery & Studio를 창업하였고, 월드 오브 워크래프트와 디아블로 등 인기 있는 온라인 게임에서 거래되는 가상화폐를 거래할 수 있는 거래소인 류트(Lewt)를 만들어 운영해 왔다.

2011년 6월부터는 마운트곡스로 스카우트되어 암호화폐 거래소 운영을 담당했다.

이후 회사를 떠나, 2011년 8월 크라켄(Kraken Exchange) 거래소를 공동 창업하여 대표이사(CEO)를 역임해 오고 있다

Bitcoin will be worth "infinity" and humanity will soon give up pricing it in U.S. dollars, says the CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken.

 

비트코인(BTC)의 가치는 '인피니티'가 될 것이고 인류가 곧 미국 달러로 비트코인 가격을 포기할 것이라고 크라켄 대표는 말한다.

 

Speaking to on March 4, Jesse Powell was characteristically bullish on Bitcoin as BTC/USD broke above $50,000.

3월 4일 블룸버그와의 인터뷰에서 제시 파월은 BTC/USD가 5만 달러 이상으로 깨지면서 특징적으로 비트코인을 강세했다.

"Of course, you know, we can only speculate, but when we measure it in terms of dollars, you have to think it's going to infinity," he told Bloomberg TV about future price trajectory.

Powell was commenting as the USD weakened alongside a macro market sell-off on Wednesday, an event which had next to no impact on Bitcoin. At the same time, the U.S. national debt quietly passed $28 trillion for the first time in history.

Despite a rejection of $50,000 support, Bitcoin bulls thus remained more than optimistic.

"The people that are believers in Bitcoin see... it's going to replace all of the world's currency, so that basically means whatever the market cap of the dollar is, the euro — all of that combined is what Bitcoin could be worth," Powell continued.
